The Counsellor will be trained to post-graduate Counselling Diploma or equivalent, from an accredited establishment and have minimum post[1]qualifying experience of 2 years and 800 hours practice. The counsellor will have expert knowledge of therapeutic interventions, particularly in the area of trauma-related counselling. They will work with clients who meet SCASS criteria, including specialist areas such as Childhood Sexual Abuse, Sexual Assault, Gender & Sexual Identity, SRP Choices (MSM), Archway SARC, Sexual Problems. They will work autonomously to provide individual assessment & counselling sessions to men, women, and young people. They will monitor, develop & review treatment to meet specific client needs. The Counsellor will manage a caseload of clients who present with a range of trauma-related issues of moderate to severe complexity, related to their sexual health & psychological well-being.
