The purpose of the job is to execute a professional managerial, technical expertise support service and advisory role principally in the realm of energy and environmental matters. This post supports the Senior Project Manager Sustainable and Technical Development but also requires to stand in for that post when that post holder is not available. This post also provides a technical expertise and advisory role for other senior managers within NHS Lothian.
There are four principal aspects; the management and efficient use of energy and water resources, the management and development of NHS Lothian’s Environment Management System, an advisory managerial role in the compilation and operation of the Division’s Clinical and General Waste Policy and a general support service to the Area Facilities Managers in the management of the Division’s Estate with particular emphasis on building management and control of engineering systems.
