NHS Grampian operates 2 nurseries in Aberdeen providing a total of 155 childcare places aged from 6 months to 5 years. Through the provision of this service the Nursery service supports the recruitment and retention of key healthcare staff.
We are pleased to offer applicants the opportunity to join our NHS Grampian Nurseries team at Woodend Nursery as the Nursery Manager for this setting. The successful applicant will be responsible for management and delivery of a high and compliant standard of childcare a well as ongoing development of the service. Woodend Nursery provides 47 childcare places.
Applicants should have relevant experience of managing a childcare setting, team working and development, auditing, and a full understanding of all relevant documentation and its implementation within a childcare setting. The Nursery Manager has a staffing compliment of 20 and therefore must have proven staff management and budgetary experience.
Applicants should have the following qualifications as per the SSSC requirements for the Manager role; SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) SCQF Level 7 or HNC Childhood Practice, BA Childhood Practice or SQA Professional Development Award Childhood Practice (360 credits at SCQF Level 9)
The role is full time, flexibility between the working hours of 6.30 a.m.-6.00 p.m. is required.
