A vacancy has arisen for the post of Service Manager in the Planned Care Directorate within the Acute Services Division.  A recent resignation has presented this exciting opportunity to be part of the dynamic and progressive Acute Services Division.  Our focus is to manage service delivery whilst implementing the quality and person centeredness agenda.  

The Service Manager will be responsible for Surgical Services (ENT, Ophthalmology, Oral Max Fax Surgery, Orthodontics and  Breast Surgery) and will be expected to work across directorates and regionally.  The Service Manager will provide operational support to the Planned Care General Manager and will be a senior member of the Planned Care Directorate Team, and work closely with the Clinical Director, Head of Nursing and Clinical Nurse Managers. 

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals who are seeking to deliver a challenging agenda.  You will have proven track record in leadership, excellent communication skills and show enthusiasm and commitment to develop in this role.

You will be expected to maintain and improve performance by providing clear leadership and operational management.  This involves meeting key national and local targets in respect of quality, performance, waiting times and finance whilst ensuring effective management of patient pathways.
