An exciting opportunity to join the school  immunisation team within NHSGGC to protect children and young people against vaccine preventable diseases.

Band 5 Community Staff Nurse :

As a Community Staff Nurse you will provide an accessible and effective nursing service to children and their families, taking forward the Public Health Agenda to maximise the health and wellbeing of all children and young people. 

The School Immunisation Programme represents a key public health measure which contributes to the reduction of health inequalities as well as achieving National and Local health objectives through the focus on preventative care for school aged children and young people. 

As part of this service you will provide professional nursing skills and knowledge to ensure the effective delivery of the National Immunisation Programme. 

You must be a First level registered nurse with evidence of further professional development is essential.

There is an expectation to work cross boundary within NHS GGC as and when required.  This is an annualized contract: -

37.5 hrs paid on an 12 month annualised contract

Work for 8 months August – April    Mon-Fri   08.30am to 4.30pm

This post requires PVG Scheme Membership / Disclosure Scotland Check.

 All posts are employed GGC Board wide and cross Boundary working within the 4 teams is required at times

This post will be based within Renfrewshire/Inverclyde however you will work cross boundary over NHS GG & C when required
