Are you looking for a new challenge and ready for more responsibility? If so this exciting new post in our Hospital Dietetic Team to provide more focused support to citizens with gastrointestinal disease as part of your role, is the one for you. The service is developing with recent changes to the MDT and so is a good time to start this journey with the Team. Our input will lead to earlier assessment and intervention whilst an in-patient/out-patient.  In addition you will provide the service to Medical High Care supporting citizens with acute medical needs e.g. complex respiratory conditions and diabetic ketoacidosis. Ultimately the aim is to return them to their home as quickly as is safe to do so monitoring the impact of our intervention through use of quality improvement methodologies reporting on how progress is made along national pathways.

There is an integrated community dietetic team in place to support citizens and their families/carers on discharge as required.

As an effective and senior team member, an additional part of your role will be to supervise/mentor/educate junior colleagues and students during Practice Placements and other members of the multi-professional team.
