SENIOR STAFF NURSE
EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
Band 6: £33,072- £40,736
The Emergency Department is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic senior staff nurse. Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years post registration experience in acute care, at least a year of which must have been within an Emergency Department setting. Evidence of ongoing professional development , delivery of quality patient care and leadership potential are essential. The role will encompass co-ordination of the department , and the Minor injuries Unit, direct patient care and taking forward changes to improve quality of care. Experienced band 5 staff nurses will be given the opportunity and support to develop within the role. This is a 37.5hr post for a fixed 6 month term, Ideal secondment opportunity.
The Emergency Department sees over 35,000 attendees pre year. Day to day there are on average 100 patients but this can peak at 150. We see the full spectrum of patients with illness and injury covering all ages, approximately 20% being paediatric. We have a strong team ethos and a drive for continued improvement .
