This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registered Allied Health Professional (AHP) to join the Education Team within the AHP Directorate.

The post holder will act as an AHP Clinical Educator for the AHP workforce, including primarily a focus on care homes, to support the development, provision and management of high quality, clinical education and teaching for AHPs, health care support workers and care home staff across NHS Tayside.

The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Co-designing and co-delivering practice based learning alongside AHP Directorate colleagues
  • Clinical skills development
  • Supporting the development of local training plans across our Locality Integrated Care Teams and care homes
  • Ensuring that the provision  of clinical education & teaching meets both service and professional requirements

You will play a key role in the leadership and development of specialist education and training programmes and work collaboratively with AHP Directorate colleagues and health and social care colleagues to deliver high quality evidenced based care.

We are looking for an individual who is an HCPC Registered Allied Health Professional educated to first degree, Masters Degree or equivalent clinical experience &/or recordable teaching qualification.

You must be an HCPC Registered Allied Health Professional, with extensive post registration experience and possess highly developed clinical, teaching & learning skills and demonstrate an interest in and have experience in delivering educational programmes.

You must possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills and possess good organisational skills and be able to work with minimal direction and supervision.

Hours of work are flexible: A total of 1.6WTE is available and we invite applications from those seeing full time and part time opportunities.
