An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated midwife/nurse within the Women and Child health team, which incorporates the Raigmore Maternity unit, Neonatal unit, Paediatric services, Gynaecology services and the Highland Breast Centre.

The successful candidate must have relevant experience within a senior midwifery/nursing position, can demonstrate personal development, leadership abilities and have previous experience in the management of staff and services.

Raigmore Maternity Unit delivers 2000 women a year and co-ordinates triage for North NHS Highland. It is a consultant lead unit that provides ante natal, intra partum and post-partum care, including midwifery ultrasound, day case, triage, and high dependency care. The Neo natal Unit cares for sick and preterm neonates from 28 weeks gestation, within intensive care, high dependency, and special care cots.

The Paediatric Service is responsible for the provision of care for North NHS Highland. They have a wide range of responsibilities, including day case, triage, clinics, surgery and visiting consultant services, including a high dependency unit.

The Gynaecology Service deliver a full range of gynaecology care including inpatient, outpatients, Early pregnancy, and social gynaecology.
