Owing to a secondment Fife Speech and Language Therapy have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join their children and young people’s service. The post is part-time (3 days a week) and is available for up to 18 months from the beginning of January 2022.  This post is available as a fixed term contract or a secondment opportunity.

You would be based at the Carnegie Unit, Queen Margaret Hospital and become part of the team providing a service to the children and young people of Dunfermline and West Fife and their families. You and the team would deliver to the tiered model of intervention at a universal and targeted level as well as providing a service to a designated caseload of children and young people with the full range of speech, language and communication needs.

You would be joining a creative and forward thinking team who apply well established reflective practice and clinical decision making models based on the Care Aims Intended Outcomes Framework and incorporating Good Conversations and Personal Outcomes approaches.

The Children and Young People’s SLT team is part of the wider Fife SLT service which is fully integrated and professionally led. This brings opportunities for learning from both adult and ALD colleagues. There is a well established PDP and Peer Support process with opportunities for clinical and professional development.
