Supervision of catering assistants to ensure work is carried out according to schedules provided.

Supervise working practices to ensure they meet the Boards Health & Safety Policy and Food Hygiene Legislation according to instruction and training.

Supervise work functions within the kitchen, retail and ward based service environments as directed by the Senior Catering Supervisor.Supervise the picking and packing of food for regeneration.

Cook and prepare food for patients (diets and elements of standard patient menus), staff,visitors and hospitality Ensure the consistency of quality, taste and appearance of all diet production and service related functions Preparation and production of daily menu items for patients, staff and general public. Production, presentation and service of function food.The cleaning and sanitizing of own work area used.The daily organization of chill and freezer storage and cleanliness.

The correct and careful use of all equipment used in food production.

 Ensuring that the departments set hygiene standards are maintained in all food preparation production and holding areas to comply with food hygiene regulations and H.A.C.C.P. policy.

The hours of this post will be worked 5 days over 7  7am to 3pm or 9am to 5pm
