As a Physiotherapist you will be a key part of the Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Team, delivering services to our Regional Centre for joint arthroplasty and to orthopaedic Day Surgery. You will have relevant experience at Band 6 level and also in orthopaedics.

You will be involved in both pre- and post-operative physiotherapy services to patients undergoing joint arthroplasty and also orthopaedic day surgery.

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and will work independently with your own caseload.

You will also be required to support, supervise and educate Band 5 and support workers in their day to day work and development.

You will contribute to the planning and fulfilment of optimal, prompt discharge and maintain turnover.

You will be passionate about empowering your patients to achieve their goals and to remain as independent and active as possible.  Participation in service improvement is expected and encouraged.

You will assist in the delivery of staff development, appraisal, supervision and CPD. 

You will have non-clinical duties including administration, and delegated line management responsibilities.

Car owner /driver is essential

Hours : 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, 0830 -1630 (plus participation in respiratory out of hours on-call rota)
