*Please note: As several posts may be part-time, the salary will be pro-rata for those in particular.*
Are you looking for an exciting new challenge? Working in a dynamic team taking forward a public health agenda ensuring that the population across all age ranges have access to vaccinations and immunisations at home, at school, in care homes, in community settings and healthcare premises.
This is an exciting opportunity for motivated nurses to work within Primary Care Services across East Lothian.
The successful candidates will support both the Primary Care Vaccination Service and Community Treatment and Care Service (CTACS) teams to deliver vaccination and treatment room services to the population of East Lothian in line with the changes to the GP contract.
The post holders will support local delivery of primary care services with opportunities to work in clinics and community settings across the county including our mobile vaccination unit.
There is a comprehensive training programme and support for new recruits.
Posts are available with a range of working hours, from a minimum of 25 hours per week to full time, 37.5 hours per week. All posts will be rostered according to the needs of the service which will include evening and weekend working.
The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, delivering vaccines across the population of Lothian.
All applicants must be registrants holding an effective professional registration with no restrictions.
The current Covid-19 NMC temporary register only permits people to undertake these roles so long as the current emergency continues and therefore are not eligible to apply for substantive positions in a registered capacity without re-entry to the full professional register.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
