This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
The purpose of this post is:
- Provide direct clinical care for those accessing the Occupational Health Physiotherapy Service: encompassing physiotherapy assessment and treatment for NHS Lothian staff with a wide range of conditions; the provision of a telephone referral / advisory service and helping to support staff to remain at work / facilitate a safe and early return to work.
- Undertake interventions to promote health protection and ill health prevention for employees of NHS Lothian.
- To provide workplace assessments to reduce the risk of injury to staff.
- Deputise for Senior Physiotherapists and ensure continuity of service delivery.
