The Complex Needs & Asylum Health Services Manager is the lead officer responsible for Complex Needs and Asylum Health strategic planning across Glasgow HSCP and NHSGG&C. They are also responsible for the overall general management of Complex Needs and Asylum Health Services.
• In addition to a minimum professional qualification at diploma/degree level in wither Health or Social Work a further degree qualification in a related area is essential. The post holder must have at minimum 5 year experience in a senior management position. To this end a post graduate management qualification is desirable.
• Specialist knowledge is required in the field of Complex Needs, Homeless or Asylum. This should include knowledge and understanding of legislation and UK and Scottish strategies and policies. This should also include knowledge of the complex needs of these client groups, understanding the range of different services across agencies which are available and awareness of the gaps in services and potential responses.
• The post holder will require a high level of personal skills especially in terms of leadership and influencing/negotiating skills which will be employed across agencies and services within the Complex Needs, Homelessness and Asylum field. Knowledge and experience of service integration, change management and service redesign is essential. High level of organisational skills is necessary to effectively co-ordinate health responses across Glasgow HSCP and NHSGGC and in partnership with other agencies.
The shift pattern is; Mon-Fri – 9.00 am - 5.00 pm
