An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to work with Clinical Care Group Triumvirates in the Surgical and Access Division within NHS Tayside.  The Clinical Care Group Triumvirates actively engage in and support collegiate working across the whole organisation with visible leadership and management of services on a Pan-Tayside basis to promote safe integrated patient pathways and efficient and effective use of resources.  


The Capacity Manager is responsible for leading demand, capacity, activity and queue (DCAQ) management.  The postholder will provide support to the Clinical Care Groups and ensure that patient safety and patient experience are at the forefront of decisions about elective capacity management. This role is critical in ensuring there are robust operational NHS Tayside Access Policy processes at clinical service level as well as forecast elective performance and report on actual performance.


The post holder will be required to work with a wide range of multidisciplinary teams to support the planning and delivery of services in line with the NHS Tayside Remobilisation Plan and redesign of services to meet local, national and regional strategy.  The successful candidate will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to allow the development of key working relationships.
