An exciting opportunity has arisen for Specialist Occupational Therapist with clinical expertise in mental health and/or paediatrics to join our established Allied Health Professions (AHP) and multidisciplinary teams within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in Tayside. There has been new investment in AHP Services within CAMHS which has provided this opportunity to create these new posts.
The successful post holders will provide interventions and support for children and young people with severe and complex mental health difficulties. The areas the post holder will cover are dependent on the successful candidate’s experience and the overall demands on the CAMHS AHP teams but will include some specialities such as mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders, The post holders will be based within Centre for Child Health Dudhope Terrace, Dundee but work across Tayside linking with the 3 localities of Angus, Dundee and Perth and Kinross
You will need to be adaptable with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will be required to work in partnership with parents, health, education, social work and third sector colleagues. You should have some Mental Health experience, good clinical knowledge and excellent communication skills. The successful applicants will be working with children and young people with complex mental health difficulties.
The AHP Teams offer supervision, appraisal and are committed to Continued Professional Development. You will be actively encouraged to make use of the many training opportunities facilitated by both the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service and the wider AHP Services.
