     Band 6 £33,072 - £40,736 pro rata

Band 7 £40,872 – £47,846 pro rata

Plus Distant Islands Allowance £1117 pro rata

37.5 hrs post and 25 hr post (12.5 hour shifts on day/night rotation)

An exciting opportunity to work and develop as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in a developing Urgent Unscheduled and care service. Due to recent changes in the redesign of urgent and unscheduled care we are looking for a post holders educated to post graduate ANP level (band 7) or willing to develop (band 6). The post holder should demonstrate professional development with non-medical prescribing, advanced clinical assessment skills and commitment to ongoing professional development to meet service requirements

The ANP will be the resource as first response for the provision of Urgent and Unscheduled care home visits in the community. Successful candidates are required to be able to work as independent practitioners with expanded scope of practice, high analytical and judgement skills to provide assessment in the community via NHS24/SAS and GP referrals. Working as part of the multidisciplinary team ANPs can work in or across all clinical settings, including custody care. Proven experience in advanced practice is essential or commitment to development. The department currently operates 12.5 hour shifts on day/night rotation.

You should have:

  • Appropriate NMC registration.
  • 5 years proven acute or community experience.
  • Post graduate level qualification, Non-medical Prescriber, advance clinical assessment and up to date mandatory training or commitment to obtaining these skills.
  • Commitment to delivery of person centred care using sound evidence based approach.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work co-operatively and flexibly within a small team.
