An exciting opportunity has arisen for qualified and experienced Occupational Therapists to join the Occupational Therapy Services within (CAARS) based at the City Hospital in Aberdeen. The primary function of the team is to assess/treat patients and to work with them in their own homes, clinics and community settings to maximise their function and independence. The post holder will have a clinical case load, be responsible for managing a small team of OT staff across a locality area, and will take a lead role in the development of the Occupational Therapy frailty service within the community.
If you have relevant experience at Band 6 level or are a Band 7 looking for a new challenge, this post will offer an interesting opportunity to play a key role in the development of the frailty pathway in the community.
You should have experience of supporting and managing staff, and be competent in dealing with day to day operational issues. You will be expected to have the ability to work independently and as part of a wider health and social care team. Regular supervision is provided and opportunities for continued professional development are encouraged.
Some weekend working may be required to support the needs of the service.
A driving licence and daily access to a vehicle is essential for this post.
