This post is a 2 year Fixed Term / Secondment position
We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and highly motivated HCC Navigator Clinical Nurse Specialists for the National HPB Navigation Team.
This is a new development designed to expedite the diagnostic pathway of patients with a suspected pancreatic or hepatocellular (HCC) cancer living anywhere in Scotland.
The applicant will be working on the HCC pathway to triage patients and streamline their care ahead of discussion at their regional MDT.
Applicants will be established clinical leaders in their field, currently practicing within an established Scottish HPB MDT. Working closely with the other members of the HPB Navigation Team and local MDTs you will: lead and support implementation of evidence-based practice; play a key role in expediting diagnostic pathways; and enhance communication across care sectors, supporting equitable access to cancer care across the country.
The role will be an initial 2 year contract, with the potential for further extension. The post can be filled on a full time or part time basis, through fixed term appointment or secondment.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme Disclosure/Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who has worked overseas for more than 3 months will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency
