An opportunity has arisen for a staff nurse with a keen interest in cardiology to join the nursing team on ward 21/23. While experience in cardiology would be advantageous it is not essential.
The successful candidate will rotate across the cardiology floor between ward 21 and ward 23. Ward 21 is an 8 bedded cardiac care unit, also providing telemetry to phase 3 in the Victoria Hospital.  We care for patients with a wide variety of acute cardiac conditions from myocardial infarction, cardiac arrthymias and heart failure. As well as providing a GP assessment service Monday to Friday. Ward 23 is a fast paced busy acute general medical/cardiology ward with 26 beds that includes patients with cardiac conditions and a wide range of cardiac conditions.
You will be expected to undergo training in all aspects of cardiac nursing and show commitment to study. This post is 37.5 hours a week with internal rotation dayshift and nightshift.
