We are looking for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our enthusiastic and skilled team in ward 61. We have a reputation for being friendly and welcoming, whilst operating in a busy environment. We are looking for a caring, hardworking colleague who wants to develop professionally in this fast-paced unit. The Orthopaedic Unit in Glasgow Royal Infirmary delivers a varied range of specialist surgeries for fractures/injuries and elective orthopaedic surgery for the North of Glasgow.  We are currently the holder of the Golden Hip, which is awarded to the highest overall performing hospital in Scotland for the care of hip fracture patients, and GRI was recently ranked Scotland’s best hospital by US publication Newsweek. So, if you’re interested in working in our award-winning unit, in Scotland’s best hospital, this post is for you. The unit comprises of 60 Trauma Receiving, 27 Elective beds, Fracture and orthopaedic clinics, this post is based the Trauma Receiving ward 61. We are a close multidisciplinary team and work collaboratively across the unit.  It is essential you are a Registered Adult Nurse with current NMC registration and recent experience in an acute hospital environment.
