Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow requires two Electrical Maintenance Technicians as part of the team to carry out reactive and preventative maintenance within the hospital campus working in a shift pattern. There is an added shift allowance for those hours worked out with the normal office working hours.

The post holder must be a time served electrician qualified to HNC level or currently working towards this qualification with a minimum of 5 years post apprenticeship experience.

While the primary role of the post holder will be to carry out electrical tasks, they will be part of a multi-skilled technical team and will be responsible for the delivery of specialist technical services for a wide range of duties in relation to the maintenance of building services. This includes the maintenance of plumbing, HVAC equipment and electrical systems. It is essential that the post holder accepts a wide range of cross trade duties so as to deliver a high standard of service.

​​​​​​​The successful applicant(s) will also have responsibilities to assist with training and education of apprentices and adult trainees ensuring they gain the necessary training and experience to meet the needs of their training program, this will also include some work with managers to identify and set up the training programs.

The shift pattern is; 07.00 – 19.15 & 19.00 – 07.15
