The cook freeze production units based at and are looking to recruit a highly motivated person to manage the 2 production units.

Working 37.5 hrs per week Monday – Friday between 9am and 5pm, the CFPU manager is responsible for ensuring provision of a high standard of food to Staff and Patients whilst meeting statutory standards and current legislation.

Responsible for the management of ongoing cook freeze food production to support patient and retail catering throughout GG&C and other NHSS Boards.

Responsible for an annual budget and the management of staff over the 2 production units.

The post holder will be expected to hold a minimum of the following training, experience and knowledge:

Training and Experience

  • Degree qualified or equivalent professional catering qualifications.
  • Relevant experience of minimum 5 years at management level with experience of large scale catering.
  • The post holder must have previous staff management experience.
  • Have the ability to work autonomously, be self-motivated and have effective and efficient leadership skills.
  • The post holders must have the ability to respond to unpredictable/emergency situations.
  • The post holder must be articulate and possess good IT skills

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and local policy
  • Highly developed specialist knowledge and experience of catering services and provision
  • Sound working knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations, HACCP, and COSHH.
  • Sound knowledge of HR Policies

The shift pattern is worked Monday to Friday
