This position is part-time on contract until 5th September 2022.
Shift pattern 8:45am-17:00pm with 45 min lunch break. Flexi time working is available as per terms & conditions (core hours are 10-12 & 2-4).

Based in the Public Health Directorate’s Employment & Health team, the Health Improvement Practitioner provides health improvement expertise and advice. The post will support the delivery of the Adult Financial Inclusion and wider Poverty agenda across the NHSGGC area with services and solutions to improve access to money advice and financial inclusion within Acute settings for patients and their families, and contribute to tackling poverty within NHSGGC.

Minimum requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • At least two years’ experience of working in Health Improvement, Public Health or a relevant Health or Health Improvement area
  • Project management, Partnership working, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience of working with groups and facilitating group development.
  • Presentation skills, Training skills including developing training sessions,
  • Sound understanding of theory and policy underpinning health improvement and health inequalities.

Sound understanding of Community Engagement principles.
