This position is a full time permanent post. 

This post is based within the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Renal Assessment and dialysis Unit within the renal service. The unit is open 0715-1930. Monday – Sunday.

This post is for a Staff Nurse Band 5, and is for 3/4 long day shifts per week – 37.5hours. The nursing team is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the team in caring for patients with renal disease. This role offers excellent experience: you would rotate between the dialysis area and the assessment area, where renal patients are brought for a variety of different clinical assessments. This team also carries out external dialysis in Golden Jubilee Hospital. You will be responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of care for patients to ensure delivery of excellent care standards. You will maintain effective communication with patients, relatives and carers, and with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that appropriate information is shared and patient needs are met. You will have the ability to work to high clinical standards. You will be required to be flexible, forward thinking and able to work effectively within a changing environment. Previous experience in with dialysis is preferred but not essential, training will be provided.

It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC and you should have evidence of continuing professional development. This area is part of the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Renal Service.
