We are looking for an experienced Children’s Nurse to join our established team of Community Children’s Nurses due to career progression of the current post holder. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy Fife wide service with a diverse patient group between the ages of birth and 18 years. This post will predominantly cover the West Fife caseload though will be required to work flexibly across Fife to meet caseload demands and support the needs of the team.
We are looking for a confident, motivated nurse to join the team, you will require to be a flexible practitioner within the community setting, a good team player and be able to develop collaborative working relationships with other health professionals from both local area and tertiary centres / Social Work / Education / CHAS (Rachel House Childrens Hospice) Third sector agencies and voluntary agencies.
You will work as an autonomous practitioner carrying clinical responsibility for a caseload of Children & Young people, delivering high quality, safe and effective care in a variety of settings across the community (Home, Schools, Nurseries, Child Development Centres, Respite and Residential unit.)
You must be a registered children’s nurse ideally with significant experience of working with children and young people within an acute or community setting. They must also demonstrate knowledge and principles of teaching others and have strong organisational and communication skills.
Previous experience of working with children and young people with complex health needs would be advantageous.
You will be inducted into the team and have opportunities to develop both clinically and professionally within a supportive environment. You will be encouraged to participate in peer supervision and service developments.
