Domestic Support Worker – Whalsay Health Centre (Ref: 79978)

Part Time – 7.5 hours per week

Band 2 - Salary Range £19,609 - £21,615 per annum (pro rata)

Plus Distant Island Allowance of £1,971 per annum (pro rata)



The purpose of this role is to ensure a clean environment through the removal of dust, dirt, debris, liquids to prevent the spread of infection, preserve the life of the building, fabric and furnishings whilst providing a clinical and/or socially acceptable environment which may include clinical areas, departments, offices and public areas.


We are looking for candidates with a good level of basic education and good communication skills, who are able to follow instructions. Initial training and induction takes place in the first few days of starting post, then support from other colleagues will be provided until the new post holder is fully competent in all areas of work.
