BAND 5 : £26,104 - £32,915

FULL TIME, 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Divisional Management Assistant to join the Medical Division Management Team at Raigmore Hospital undertaking specific responsibilities to provide a highly professional and comprehensive administrative and secretarial support service to the Head of Acute Operations and Divisional Service Managers.

The Job Description is generic in terms of breadth but the job is specific in terms of its objective with an exciting work load to provide a comprehensive, professional and confidential service to the Head of Operations.  There will be a range of duties that include diary management, forward planning of associated documentation for meeting attendance, screening of calls and sensitive communication with staff, patients and families.  Over sight of confidential patient information will be required via NHS e-health systems (an understanding of these systems would be extremely helpful).  

The post holder will demonstrate excellent people interaction skills, in particular they will have the ability to foster strong team building and provide motivational support where required. The successful applicant will work alongside four other Divisional Assistants.  

You will be responsible for supporting the business of the Medical Division involving all aspects of personal assistant administrative management within a strong framework of financial governance whilst adhering to the qualities laid out in the Highland Quality Approach.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a real commitment to working across all relevant aspects of the service, showing an ability to enthuse, motivate and give commitment to meeting exacting deadlines.  Also key is the ability to demonstrate proficiency in various software systems to include excel, access, power point, word.  It would be an advantage to have experience of working with NHS systems along with evidence of excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.  A demonstrable commitment to improving the services we provide to patients is absolutely essential.
