The Band 3 Clinical Support worker is a member of the multi-disciplinary team providing care for patients in the community.
The key aspects of this role are:
To provide care for individuals who have a mental illness and or a learning disability and/or present a serious risk to themselves or others.
To report observed changes in the clients physical/psychological needs.
To maintain accurate and up to date records to ensure effective communication.
To provide high quality patient care by carrying out a range of delegated clinical duties, directed by a registered nurse.
In the absence of the patient’s key worker the clinical support worker will be the named co-worker for individual clients to help to ensure their needs are being met. This requires regular client and co-worker meetings to support attainment of achievable goals and carrying out forward planning to ensure the needs of the client are being met at all times. You should have previous experience in a caring environment/role preferably in a health care setting particularly mental health. A current driving licence is required for this post. The shift pattern for this post is Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm.
