Who We Are
NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
The Data team:
- provide a data science function specialising in Heath workforce data
- publish Scotland's official statistics on the NHS workforce
- provide expert advice on data gathering, analysis and reporting across the organisation
- support data science and application development by providing data architecture, engineering and modelling optimised for reporting
- provide expert business analysis and process improvement to support data science and reporting
- support multiple agile development teams in PowerBI reporting and data engineering
What you'll do
Key tasks will include but are not restricted to;
- To bring considerable BI development expertise to bear in the development of analytical and reporting services on NES’s Turas Digital Platform and in particular the Turas applications in the Training, Education and Workforce domain.
- Support multiple agile workstreams, maintaining organisational best practice for data pipelines, data modelling and reporting

What you'll bring to the Data team
These will include but are not restricted to;
- Designing effective BI/Operational Report data models
- Experience in gathering, analysing, designing and delivering requirements for reports from stakeholders.
- In-depth experience in Microsoft Business Intelligence stack; SQL Server, Power BI, SQL Server Analysis Services
- Building new and supporting existing Power BI data models and measures
