Allied Health Professions Practice Education Facilitator (Band 6)

Base – Base to be agreed across Greater Glasgow & Clyde/ NHS Golden Jubilee (current remote from home working in line with Government Guidance)

Permanent post - 0.6Wte (22.5 hours per week)

An exciting opportunity to contribute to an NHS Education for Scotland [NES] funded practice education programme within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and NHS Golden Jubilee. This post holder will support and facilitate the development of the workplace as a sustainable quality learning environment for all Allied Health Professional staff (Registered AHPs, pre-registration students, support workers and staff “returning to practice”) working across all care settings within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and the NHS Golden Jubilee. The post holder will work within the AHP Practice education team within the board areas contributing to designing and organising work based learning activities. The post holder will work with a range of stakeholders both within and out with the health board areas and be one of a network of AHP Practice Education Facilitators and Leads employed in each health board across Scotland.

We want to hear from you if:

  • You are passionate about the role of practice education supporting career development and CPD for allied health professionals and support staff.
  • You are innovative and can demonstrate excellent leadership, communication and negotiating/influencing skills.
  • You can demonstrate experience in supporting health professions in work based learning and have maintained continuing professional development [CPD] relevant to AHP practice education.
  • You have excellent project management skills.
  • You are able to demonstrate ability to effectively build networks across multi-disciplinary professions.
  • You are a qualified AHP and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council
  • Although initially the post holder would be working remotely, due to the nature of the work an ability/ willingness to travel throughout the area is also required.
