Job Advert

University Hospital Monklands is looking for two pharmacy technicians to join our aseptic pharmacy team who will provide pharmaceutical technical services within the aseptic service, including supply of biological medicines, centralised intravenous additive services (CIVAS), systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT), and total parenteral nutrition (TPN), both adult and neonatal. There is also an opportunity for one of the post holders to develop a role in supporting the wider aseptic technical team with clinical trials activities and being a key link with the clinical trials team, where investigational medicinal products may require aseptic preparation (see role profile for further information).

A dispensary checking or aseptic checking qualification are required for this post; however, applicants willing to work towards or are currently undertaking, may be considered under Annex 21 arrangements.

It is an exciting time at University Hospital Monklands with centralisation of our aseptic service in recent times and developing future plans for the replacement of the current hospital site, including new research facilities. Applications are welcomed from suitably qualified candidates with a passion for delivering high quality aseptic services. For informal enquiries,

please contact Julie Robertson, Chief Technician – Aseptic Services on 01698 752079 or Steven Marshall, Lead Pharmacist for Clinical Trials on 07867372521.
