SENIOR STAFF NURSE


BRUAR WARD, NEW CRAIGS

Band 6: £33,072 to £40,736

37.5 hours per week – Full Time, Secondment 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team in Bruar Ward, New Craigs Hospital as a Senior Staff Nurse, RMN. The post holder will work in a secure Rehabilitation (high dependency) ward as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

This role will involve being named nurse, planning and implementing the care of an individual with complex needs.  It is expected that this vacancy will include both clinical and non clinical duties, with a 40/60% split of responsibilities. Experience of working with adults with autism and disordered eating would be advantageous.  There will also be a requirement to co-ordinate the training requirements of the nursing team including delivering in house training.

You should have experience of working within Psychiatric Services, either in-patient or care or in a community setting, together with knowledge of current issues within Mental Health Nursing. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of excellent recovery focused clinical care within as part of a multidisciplinary care team. 
In addition, a positive attitude, good team working abilities and excellent communication skills are essential.
