We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist to join us in a Lead Occupational Therapist role within the Forensic Directorate.
The post holder will be an expert practitioner in the field of forensic occupational therapy. The post holder will be based within the Forensic Directorate and will lead in the development of an effective and efficient forensic occupational therapy service to support the rehabilitation and resettlement of patients within the service.
The post holder will provide an occupational therapy professional identity and focus within the multi-disciplinary and multi-agency context and will be responsible for the professional leadership, line management and clinical development of occupational therapists within their clinical area – (Medium, Low or Forensic Community Services).
The post holder will be expected to function as an autonomous practitioner applying a high level of expert clinical knowledge & experience through evidence based practice and ensuring that this is embedded into practice across the Forensic mental health service.
They will be expected to be a resource for the team providing professional guidance and participating in the development of the service. They will be expected to work collaboratively with the other Forensic Lead OT’s to achieve a seamless, effective and efficient Occupational Therapy service across all levels of security in NHSGGC.
