We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced clinical pharmacist with excellent communication skills to join our surgical team at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow. You will be part of our surgical and critical care team helping to lead and develop patient focussed clinical services to a variety of surgical specialties. You will work in our surgical wards and will have the opportunity to work within our critical care unit. You will be an active member of the multidisciplinary team participating in team meetings, supporting medicine reconciliation processes and initiatives such as triage and referral. You will act as a source of information and prescribing support providing information on all aspects of drug use including patient safety and contributing to strategic plans for modern pharmacy services.
The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital is a busy teaching hospital situated in South Glasgow and has an excellent team of friendly pharmacy staff committed to modernisation of services and in particular ward based medicines management, pharmacist prescribing and e-health initiatives.
You should have a Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You should also have completed the NES Foundation Level Training or equivalent.
Experience in a critical care environment would be advantageous but not essential.
This is a fixed term post for 1 year with full time hours; these hours will be worked Monday to Friday with participation in weekend, public holiday and on call shifts. If you are interested in applying for this post, please contact
