The post provides interventional support for families and delivering programmes of work which are delegated and supervised by the child’s Health Visitor or Family Nurse. 

The Health Visitor Support Workers are integral to the local Health Visiting teams in East Ayrshire where joint working with partners is essential to the delivery of co-ordinated care with families. 

A key interest in areas of positive parenting, supporting families affected by addictions, child communication, language development, nutrition, play and healthy weight are essential. 

Successful candidates will benefit from high quality training and development which will be required to be undertaken in this role.  

Our service is dedicated to work with children and families supporting them have improved health and wellbeing outcomes. We are looking for candidates that have undertaken further academic study at SPQ level 7 or 8, or SVQ level 3 / HNC in the field of Early Years Care and Education, Child Development, NNEB or equivalent qualification in childcare. 

Due to the nature of this role, a car driver is essential.

Hours:

1 x 37.5 per week. This is based out of Patna.

1 x 37.5 per week. This is based out of Kilmarnock.

1 x 37.5 per week. This is based out of Kilmaurs/Stewarton.

These positions are over a 5 day period.
