We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Medicine for the Elderly speciality which incorporates Tay Ward (Elderly Rehabilitation for Perth City) and the Specialist Stroke Rehab Unit.
You will have the opportunity for CPD learning and would be supported to be involved in current improvement projects. There is an opportunity for clinical skills training for intravenous drug administration, venepuncture and cannulation as well as other skills.
Do you have a keen interest in Elderly or Stroke Rehabilitation and enabling patients to regain as much independence as possible? Do you want to work closely with a specialist multi disciplinary team to promote patient centred care in a supportive environment?
Stroke Unit - You will be supported by all staff within our Multidisciplinary Team where there is a wealth of expertise in Stroke Rehabilitation. You will be encouraged to undertake Stroke Specific training within your post. The unit is supported by two very experienced Stroke consultants who work across PRI and Ninewells.
We are moving towards an exciting new Stroke Rehabilitation model where Nursing staff will be supported by a large multi disciplinary team including new Wellbeing and enablement assistant practitioners.
Tay Ward – You will be part of a Multidisciplinary Team who are committed to providing rehabilitation which is patient centred. This unit is supported by specialist MFE consultants and MFE research fellows. There is a ward rehab area, outdoor garden and patient centred focus on care delivery.

You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the NMC Register

Hours of work are: Full or part-time posts available – currently working a 12 hour shift pattern.
