Job Advert

NHS Tayside is looking to recruit a Clinical Care Group Director in Child and Adolescent Mental Health to lead service development for young people in Tayside.  This post will be key to delivering developments recently announced in the Mental Health Recovery and Renewal programme.  The Scottish Government has committed funding to transform the services we deliver to our young people and families and this is a great opportunity to join teams who are committed to redesign and innovation for our communities.    This covers local services including Intensive home treatment and Liaison services as well as regional services hosted in NHS Tayside.  The initiative also covers regional development of an IPCU for the North of Scotland Regional services and we are looking for enthusiastic and committed colleagues to join us.

Colleagues have special interests in eating disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders and enhanced outreach.  We would welcome discussion from applicants with interests that compliment these interests and opportunities in liaison, secure care and general CAMHS.

NHS Tayside provides services to a population of 420,000 across a range of urban and rural areas that offers a great place to live and work.  NHS Tayside works to a “Whole System” approach and has a strong clinical leadership ethos.  You would work as a Triumvirate with a lead nurse and care group manager.  NHS Tayside works with the three Health and Social care partnerships in Tayside to meet demand and challenge across traditional boundaries.

Our Clinical Director post is key to service planning and development and offers a great opportunity to develop a clinical leadership career at a time of expansion and increased funding.  You would work with an established management structure and governance framework and as a key member of a triumvirate with a lead nurse and clinical service manager.  NHS Tayside hosts the Regional Inpatient unit for the North of Scotland Health Boards and this post will be key to delivering the initiatives in the recovery and renewal programme and the new service specifications.
