An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our East Occupational Therapy team. This post will involve working across our service delivery areas including; our community rehabilitation team, East Ayrshire Community Hospital based in Cumnock and Johnnie Walker Bond, Kilmarnock.  

This role is underpinned by effective multi-disciplinary working hence effective communication, organisational and time management skills are required. Previous experience in working within a multi-disciplinary team is required.

Significant experience of working across a range of relevant clinical settings is essential; including inpatients and community.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrated robust skills in assessment, evaluating patient progress and planning treatment programmes. The successful candidate will work in a team that embraces supported self-management, lifestyle modifications and individualised goal setting.

You will have an understanding of the current agendas influencing services and be able to evidence continuous professional development.

You will contribute to the training and development of rotational staff, students and assistants. Clinical and Line Management supervision will be provided and we are keen to support applicants to learn and develop skills within the role.

A Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration are essential requirements.

A current driving licence and access to a car are essential for community working.

This post is permanent for 37.50 hours per week.
