Clinical Services Manager – Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Women & Children’s Services


Obstetrics and Gynaecology within Women & Children’s Services of NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, has a budget of £70 Million and employs 850 WTE.

The Clinical Services Manager is accountable to the General Manager for the delegated management and control of resources within the defined service area.  The post holder will implement, achieve and deliver business and clinical performance targets in accordance with local, regional, and national objectives specified to the North Sector and the Acute Operating Division.

The post holder will provide operational support to the General Manager in relation to the efficient and effective delivery of safe patient care, clinical governance, HEAT and performance standards, and contribute widely to operational delivery of the business and clinical service agenda. The post holder will have direct line management responsibilities for department leads within the service area.

Key relationships will be with the Lead Midwives, the Clinical Directors and the Lead Clinicians as well as colleagues across a range of other specialties.

A track record of service delivery in a very complex environment, including experience of line managing a range of professionals is essential. 

Flexibility in the working pattern to support the demands of the service.
