Job Advert
Procurement within NHS Highland has a permanent, full time, Inverness office-based role suitable for someone with operational Procurement experience.
This role will support the Strategic Procurement Officer (Systems and Process Manager), supervising team members where required, as well as identifying ways to improve our processes and help us be more efficient. Experience using Pecos, MS365 with strong excel skills for report creation and data analysis is essential. Excellent IT, interpersonal skills and organisational skills are required to support our day to day PECOS transactional order processing. Patience and attention to detail are also essential as it may be necessary to support staff training to help them understand the process for requisitioning goods.
Candidates need to have excellent communication skills as they will interact not only with colleagues in the Procurement team, but the wider organisation as well as external suppliers. They should have a proactive approach to facilitating change and be flexible. They are also expected to exercise autonomy in their decision making, using their own initiative, experience and professional knowledge, within the context of work programmes defined and managed by the Strategic Procurement Officer.
