We are seeking to appoint an individual to join our nursing team within our ambulatory admission and assessment areas as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. These areas consist of our Ambulatory Assessment Area (AAA) which supports our non respiratory pathway and East Block Assessment Unit (EBAU) which provides an assessment and admission pathway for suspected Covid 19 patients, forming part of the respiratory pathway for NHS Tayside. Both areas are dynamic environments that are continually changing and developing to meet the ever changing needs of the population of Tayside in response to the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic and Unscheduled Care agenda.
This role is one in which you would be expected to act as a clinical expert, working alongside medical and nursing teams in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of a diverse group of patients presenting with suspected Covid 19 infection and a variety of acute medical conditions.
The applicant would also be expected to work with a high level of autonomy and in a manner in keeping with the principles of person centeredness, supporting the delivery of safe and effective care incorporating the four pillars of advanced practice.
Applicants should have or be working towards a post graduate diploma in advanced practice. We may also consider applications for trainee posts and will support the development of individuals to meet advanced practice competencies. This will be supported using a triangulation approach of academic courses, mentorship and clinical supervision. Applicants for trainee posts should have demonstrated evidence of undertaking courses relevant to the advanced practice pathway and able to demonstrate the ability to study at level 11. Remuneration associated with trainee posts will be as per annex 21.

Applicants should be registered on either Part 1 or Part 12 of the NMC Register, with extensive post – registration experience and be able to demonstrate expert clinical knowledge and professional practice preferably within an acute setting.
