Assistant Psychologist, 18.75 hours per week (0.5 wte) for 10 months, Department of Paediatric Psychology, NHS Grampian
This exciting new post primarily involves working on a project that is aimed at improving the assessment of patient’s cognitive functioning in clinical settings. Although based within the Department of Paediatric Psychology, in order to achieve the studies main aim the successful candidate will spend a significant proportion of their time within community settings; mainly for the purpose of administering particular assessments of cognitive functioning to those children and young people that enrol into the study. There will also be opportunities for the successful candidate to participate in direct clinical work with patients.
The successful candidate will become part of a small, friendly, and supportive research team that comprises of a paediatric neuropsychologist based within NHS Grampian and a professor of neuropsychology based at the University of Aberdeen. The post holder will also have the opportunity to work with a welcoming and encouraging team of applied clinical/health psychologists based within the Department of Paediatric Psychology at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital.
