We have exciting opportunities for enthusiastic, GPhC registered pharmacists across North Aberdeenshire cluster/geographical area within Aberdeenshire H&SCP.


The successful candidates will join developing teams of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians and be key to the ongoing provision and innovation of the pharmacotherapy service across North Aberdeenshire Cluster area(s).

The post holders will work as a pharmacist across GP practice(s) and community hospital(s) in areas of North Aberdeenshire covering all aspects of medicines management and pharmacotherapy to ensure safe, appropriate and cost-effective use of medicines in line with local and national guidelines.


The ideal candidates will work well within a team and on their own initiative. Successful candidates will undertake a wide range of tasks such as medicines reconciliation, Medicines Care & Review, pharmaceutical queries including management of shortage and promote quality, cost-effective prescribing.  The role will also provide pharmaceutical support through reviewing of prescribing data, audits and implementing changes to prescribing practices.


The clinical teams across Aberdeenshire strive to work in close collaboration within the Clusters to maximise wider patient benefit, and we are seeking Pharmacists with similarly energetic, pragmatic and adaptable views to join our enthusiastic colleagues.


You may have a community or hospital pharmacy background or already be working within GP Practice as a pharmacist. Good communication, interpersonal and time management skills are essential.  Full driving licence and use of a car is essential.

              

Full time and part time opportunities available -part time generally min 3 days (22.5hours).


Varied geographical options in North Aberdeenshire – posts will have agreed base (main place of work) and will involve remote and onsite working in practices within a cluster/geographical area.
