This is an exciting opportunity to join the NHSGGC Board Headquarters, in a fast paced and high profile environment.
This post is fixed term for 18 months.
As a Legal Claims Manager, the post holder will manage highly sensitive, high profile, complex legal cases brought against the Board, and ensure a high level of governance is applied to protect the Board’s interests. The post holder will also manage and co-ordinate support to Crown Office investigations into sudden and unexpected deaths and ensure the necessary input into Fatal Accident Inquiries on behalf of the Board.
The post holder will collaborate with the NHS Central Legal Office in order to provide guidance and advice to senior management on these legal matters. Working with a high levels of autonomy, the post holder will require excellent and highly developed interpersonal skills with the proven ability to establish and maintain productive working relationship, internally and externally at all levels.
Sound judgement and discretion, the ability to consider complex factors, a high degree of flexibility and the ability to maintain performance under pressure with an unpredictable and varied workload is essential.
The hours are worked Monday to Friday.
