Patient Services Catering Manager
QEUH 
Band 6 (£33,072-£40,736) – 37.5 Hour Post

Opportunity exists for suitably qualified and experienced members of staff to apply for this exciting and challenging role within the Facilities Directorate delivering Patient Catering Services which support and contribute to the provision of quality patient care within a new state of the art adult acute and children’s hospital facility. Hours of Work: 37.5hrs per week working between 08:00 and 20:00, with a requirement to work out of hours and at weekends as required.
The post holder will provide effective Management across Patient Catering Services, ensuring seamless delivery, contributing to the overall provision of quality patient care.
The main areas of responsibility for this role includes:
•    Ensuring consistent service provision compliance with all statutory & legislative standards and local & national   policy, protocol and procedure – e.g. Food safety legislation, FFN standards, etc
•    Robust management of staffing resources in full compliance with the Once for Scotland policies 
•    Ensure robust budgetary management and best use of all resources – i.e. staff, non-pay equipment & materials
•    Provide professional guidance and leadership in the planning, management and provision of patient catering services;
•    Ensure systems are in place to enable the delivery of consistent high quality standards
•    Ensure the safe operation of staff and service provision as per locally agreed policy and procedures;
•    Maintain a high profile presence engaging with Facilities colleagues, clinical staff, patients and visitors;
Demonstrating a patient focused approach to the delivery of Patient Catering services, the post holder will ensure the cost effective delivery of high quality services that compliment and facilitate patient care. 
Day to day management of Patient Catering services with responsibility for ensuring the delivery of high quality service provision across the campus which comprises circa 1940 beds spread across a range of specialities.
The post holder will undertake regular quality audits and communicate outcomes with clinical and Facilitates staff. Promoting a culture of responsibility, accountability and continuous improvement.
The post holder will be required to maintain accurate records and ensure that staff are utilising service related applications as required with data inputting maintained accurately and consistently.
You must have a minimum of 5 years previous experience of working within a similar role. You will have excellent knowledge of Catering services preferably in a healthcare environment and a working knowledge and awareness of related systems such as, Health and Safety legislation, Infection Control policy, and local and national policies.
You must be a good communicator, computer literate and be able to demonstrate your ability to problem solve and work under pressure.
