A permanent opportunity has arisen for the post of Estates Manager - Building and Water Management Lead, in this role you will assist the Senior Estates Manager both technically and professionally in order to meet all building requirements across NHS Tayside.

Managing an all-encompassing building maintenance service for NHS Tayside you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all Building Services including plant and equipment, on all sites within NHS Tayside using direct labour and contractors.  Overseeing all building schemes, energy schemes including energy saving measures and preparing, implementing and monitoring service agreements with various external contractors and agencies, including advising on and managing minor works projects.

Whilst always maintaining the highest standard for patient and staff environments, you will be accountable for ensuring all buildings fabric, plant and equipment, estates department and grounds across NHS Tayside are in a satisfactory and operational condition through the provision of cost-effective maintenance to agreed quality, statutory, safety and environmental performance standards.

You must drive service compliance within agreed Statutory, Mandatory, Safety, Environmental, Quality Standards, Policies and Procedures whilst devising and managing the necessary procedures to ensure that the quality of water in NHS Tayside Healthcare Premises is maintained.

Applicants should be qualified to degree level (or equivalent) and hold a recognised qualification in management or have previous relevant training or experience in management skills. Previous experience in Estates management including building & engineering services, equipment & plant is essential. There is also a requirement to hold Engineering Council Registration as a Professional Engineer (or equivalent).

The Post holder will be required to work at any NHS Tayside property as necessary, therefore the ability to travel is essential.
