Band 6 Midwife for Breastfeeding Project
This is an exciting opportunity that has arisen to work across West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) to improve breastfeeding rates. This post supports current national priorities for breastfeeding and will drive forward local developments around the Programme for Government for Breastfeeding priorities and Maternal and Infant Nutrition agenda.
In this fixed term role, you will be part of a small breastfeeding team and you will be responsible for providing support for breastfeeding and developing practice in breastfeeding using innovative approaches to working across systems, and utilising a Quality Improvement approach to service development.
This role will provide the post holder with the opportunity to use a range of public health competencies especially project management and evaluation skills to meet aims and improve breastfeeding rates in West Dunbartonshire and work towards cultural change in the area.
It is essential you are a Registered Midwife.
The two day shift pattern to be agreed but within Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm.
This is a Fixed term post for 12 months.
