SENIOR CLINICAL DEVELOPMENT FELLOW IN Emergency Medicine/TOXICOLOGY

 Queen elizabeth university Hospital GLASGOW

Applications are invited for the above post in Emergency Medicine, based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH), Glasgow. This post will commence February 2022. This post is not part of the National recruitment process for Specialty Training in Endocrinology and is not recognised for training by NHS Education for Scotland.

This post has been developed to offer training and research opportunities in emergency medicine – specifically in the area of toxicology. The post-holder will be expected to undertake a period of supervised clinical research with the possibility of working towards the award of an MD or other higher degree. The post will also provide an opportunity for ongoing development of skills and experience in emergency medicine through a 30% time commitment to clinical service. Allocation of time will be funded as follows:

Funding is available for 1 year, with a view to obtaining ongoing funding during the course of the project.

Candidates would preferably be in possession of MRCEM or equivalent, and have appropriate experience in Emergency Medicine. Applicants should be planning to continue in a career in Emergency Medicine. We would welcome applications from doctors at level ST4 or above looking for 2 years research break to consolidate their training.
